I'm a huge fan of Los Gallos in Pleasant Hill so I assumed this one would be just a great...I was wrong.
At first I thought it was because this place is supposed to be fast but if you're looking for express, you're not getting it either. If you're looking for speed then order ahead on the website and you'll only wait 10-15 min AFTER your order says it's ready to pick up. However your order might have a few mistakes.
Food wise: they're inconsistent with the ingredients in their food so if you have a FOOD ALLERGY, please specify in your order. From MY experience if you ask for the food to be taken back then they'll just pick out the food allergens and return the dish. If this was a case of picky eating then I guess that makes sense..? If you're legitimately allergic to something then let them know unless you're ready to use your EpiPen. Additionally, I've worked in the food industry (including taquerias in the Bay Area) and I can tell when food has just been sitting there. So if you don't mind the texture of soggy tortillas and dried meat then enjoy.
Service wise: everyone is really nice....IF you're assertive. If you're docile and timid then you won't get too much friendliness or "express" service.

As the name says, it seems like everything was done a little too express.
I ordered a Lengua burrito along with a chile relleno.

The lengua was cooked fine but the items in the burrito had no consistency, the guacamole and lettuce was still ice cold while the meat was freshly cooked. Very confusing.

The chile relleno seemed as if it had been reheated in a microwave. The breading on it was entirely flakey and soft and the cheese and sauce surrounding it had that microwaved appearance and texture.

I have had tacos from here before with no complaints, but the burritos have been like this multiple times, a stark contrast to the Todos Santos location.

SMH.. never again.. said it if I ordered it again it would take another 10-15 minutes.. don't risk 'em.. go to La Pinata down the street.. heading there now.. LOL

  Love this place- we have never been disappointed and the salsas are outstanding. Wish I still worked across the road

  Family gets food with this place and the Pleasant Hill location often but this location always mess up our order. When we call and go back to get our order... read more fixed correctly, the lady with the long eyelashes proceeds to say that she misunderstood the order BUT it's our fault. Pleasant Hill restaurant is much better and has better customer service as they never make a mistake with our order and take our order correctly.

To top it off, I tried the ceviche from this location for the first time and it was the only thing I ate for dinner. Woke up feeling nauseous alongside other symptoms of food poisoning. The ceviche I eat at my work at my college campus has never given me food poisoning so tread carefully if you want to eat ceviche here.

Lastly, this is the only place I've been to that immediately assumes I speak Spanish. I do not speak Spanish, I am not Hispanic. Do not assume someone is Hispanic. If my mother goes to an Asian restaurant, they do not immediately speak in a language considered Asian because she looks Asian. They will speak in English. If a coworker or myself comes across a customer at work, we will not start speaking in a language WE ASSUME they speak. We will speak English as it's a dominant language in the states as businesses even use that language. (Notice I am not stating that English is the "official" language in the states as there is no official language)

The profiling is not good. The food at this location is not good. The customer service is lacking. Not clean shrimp.

TLDR; don't go here, go to the pleasant hill location as the staff there are doing something right.

  Pupusas are phenomenal
My family has tried many delicious items, all are very good! Shrimp tostada, bbq chicken burrito and enchiladas to name a few.

The carnitas seemed as if they got it out of the trash, the steak was petrified.. They didn't bother to put cheese in my bowl. I didn't even tell my son my opinion.. I just gave him his.. as a football player, he'll eat anything.. went to the kitchen and the whole thing was in the trash!!! And the ladies seemed tired and overworked. I tipped the cashier too!! The owner needs to come and do quality control. $32 and my stomach is queasy. SMH YUCK YUCK YUCK
